The Art of Nicholas Pearce

I have been painting the female face and form for nearly three decades – faces, nudes, and the dynamically sensual imagery of women dancing flamenco.
My medium is acrylic paint on canvas, which I apply in a limited palette with a single large brush. I’m also fascinated with computers, which I use to:
•Capture my images during modelling sessions, along with a digital camera.
•Complete the initial design and drafting stages of a painting.
•Play the music that puts me into the focused state of mind demanded by the painting process.
I am represented in Alberta by the Diana Paul Galleries, and in British Columbia by The Gallery in Oak Bay Village, and by the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria (art rental).
My paintings are in private and corporate collections in Canada, the US and Europe.
